Herd Does

While having a good sire is very important, the doe is half the kids as well. I’m happy to say our doe herd has improved drastically since 2016! We still have room to grow but are very proud of our does! When deciding who to keep vs who to cull we watch mothers data very closely. Do they have to be dewormed many times, and do their kids? Do their kids have high ADGs? Etc. We also watch FAMACHA and Body Condition Scores (BCS).

Lita is a 100% NZ doe, and our herd queen. She is three years old, and easily our biggest doe. She is out of OLF Honcho’s Keeper (Imprint over Onyx’s Lily) and TSF Arianne (MEP Tom Black x “Nick” granddaughter. You want size, this is your girl! She had triplets as a first timer.
